Over the years, faith-based institutions have earned a reputation for poor design. Having been raised within the church by a pastoral family, I am aware that this has far more to do with a lack of resources, than with a lack of creativity.
When many think of the church, massive megachurches come to mind. These large churches are loud and performative and do have a large presence in metro areas. However smaller congregations in rural communities are a much larger bart of the faith-based community. These churches are typically more sincere, with staff that does not receive a living wage, or payment at all. We are prone to forget the servants who need help the most.

This series of illustrations were created as a resource for underfunded congregations.
